On Aug. 12, Forbes China published “Forbes China 50 Most Innovative Companies”. Among the listed are SEMCORP, CATL, BYD, Huawei Cloud, SMIC, etc.

According to Forbes, this year’s “Forbes China 50 Most Innovative Companies” is based on fundamental factors such as business model, R&D investment, self-growth, etc., and assesses a company’s creativity by analyzing the development status, competition and industrial trend of different sectors. SEMCORP was selected for its long-term experience and innovations in product R&D, technological improvements, etc.

The new energy sector takes the lion’s share in the 50 selected companies, accounting for 18 of them. As a global leading supplier of lithium-ion battery separator, SEMCORP is dedicated to become a world-class materials R&D enterprise. At present, SEMCORP maintains an edge in the global market in production capacity, product quality, cost effectiveness, technological R&D, etc.

In H1 of 2022, SEMCORP’s estimated net income distributed to shareholders of parent company is 1.996 billion yuan to 2.076 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 90.06% to 97.68%.
